There is no better feedback than the ones we get from you guys, be it comments here on our website, e-mails, tweets, Google+ or Facebook comments, we read and listen to them all.
So we decided to ask Simmanivong, one of the regular comment posters here on our website, if he would mind spending some time with the XY Mobile tablet and provide us with his feedback. Luckily Simmanivong agreed! So here it is, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank Simmanivong for using his time on this.
Thank you for XY mobile phone Company to give me a great opportunity to test XY Tablet and I really enjoyed it. During my almost two weeks having XY tablet I really took it serious to monitor and took note of XY performance and here are some of my personal point of view:
Design:
The design is sleek and professional with a size of 197x126x13.8mm it is just a right size for web browsing, surfing internet and emails on the move.
Web browsing:
With support of flash 10.1 I enjoyed a lot of viewing the multimedia content such as Youtube, movie, video playback and TV on internet
Data transfer and Speed:
With both 3G and Wi-Fi I can connect to internet everywhere I go and it fasts as well, no problem with download a big files such as Youtube, documents and so on. I also used Bluetooth and USB cable to transfer photos and files to my laptop and it worked well. I got a problem with weak signal when I sued a tablet as horizontal.
Sound quality (music):
I am not really like the quality of speakers when I listening to the music and watching a movie, but the sound from TV reporters or Yotube are ok. Voice recorder is also not impressive. Using an ear-phone to listen the music it helps a lot.
Reading:
I enjoyed a lot of reading magazines, newspapers and other E-book with the functions such as zoom in/out, front enlargement.
Display, camera and images (photo):
XY’s display is very nice and with 1.3 MP only front it is good enough for 3G chat but not for high quality photos taking and it doesn’t have at the back (rear) camera and either a flash not good for taking photos at night or under the shadow
Battery life:
With the full charged, I started using it from early morning and it lasts until night during the weekend and 2-3 days during the workday for me it is good enough and another weak point of XY tablet is that we can not charge battery by USB cable, it means that we have to carry a battery charger with us all the time when we travel or for a day that we planned to use a lot and lastly the battery was getting heat when we continue using it 2 or 3 hours
E-mail:
XY tablet is great for emailing (Gmail, yahoo, Hotmail and other) and other social network such as facebook, twitter, Skype and Hi5. It also supported PDF file but unfortunately I cannot read M. word & Excel with attachment of my mail.
Memory (storage):
XY tablet come with 8GB Internal and it can be up to 32GB with T-Flash card. Good enough for general purpose use but not for Movie collector.
Touch screen:
The touch screen is responsive and easy to manipulate (high –sensitivity). I really like it.
Games:
I am using the one without any game installation and I don’t like to play game as well, but I think it will be good if the Company will install some game on the tablet for those who like to play game. However, according to the company website we can download a thousand games from the internet.
Other features like Messaging, GPS, calendar and maps all are worked well. The comment to the XY Company is that it will be good if the Company install Lao-English-Lao dictionary and spell check when we writing the email.
Conclusion:·
When it comes to my overall conclusion I personally like XY tablet. The most very unique and advantage of XY tablet is that we can use Lao keyboard (Lao language) for writing the email and messaging and It can also be used as a phone, Video call as well. With almost two weeks I really enjoyed using it
Lastly, with the price of $300-330 I think it worth enough to buy XY tablet and I recommend you to have one as well.
